Naydene obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology, Genetics and Psychology from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2014.
The enabled Naydene to understand the physiological and genetic factors related to Autism.
In 2015 she completed her junior ABA training with The Star Academy in South Africa and gained experience applying ABA to children with Autism, ADHD, developmental delays, ODD, OCD and children with anxiety disorders. By the end of 2015 Naydene also completed her Board Certified Autism Technician qualification through the Behavioural Intervention Certification Council.
Finalising a Bachelor of Social Sciences Honours in Psychology at the University of Pretoria she then. took an opportunity and worked in Mauritius exclusively with one family. This experience gave her a holistic understanding of the struggle parents and siblings face when there is a child with special needs in the family and she learnt the value of parent/care giver training and play dates with siblings.
In early 2018 Naydene was instrumental in opening a branch for The Star Academy in Cape Town. During her time there she worked with highly aggressive adolescents.
She will continue her education in this field whilst living here in Sydney as she has recently been accepted into the BCBA Master’s program.
