Our programs are individualised as the children we work with. This means that the program is tailored to your child’s needs and goals using proven techniques to teach your child new skills and behaviours.

We believe that ABA Programs that are neuro diverse inclusive can support children with autism and other developmental delays to develop their skills and potential without trying to change who they are.

FAQ

How do I get started?

1. Initial Consultation

The first step is to call to arrange an Initial Consultation. This is your opportunity to discuss your goals for your child, talk about any concerns and find out if ABA Therapy and ABAlink is the right service provider for your child and your family.

2. Developmental Assessment

If you decide to progress with ABAlink the next step is a comprehensive developmental assessment with our clinical team in Ryde. Assessments will include appropriate frameworks and may include the  Verbal Behaviour – Milestones and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), resulting in an Assessment Report outlining your child’s current skill level and recommendations against goals.

If your child is already in a pre-school setting our team will need to undertake a separate school observation in order to ensure programming meets the needs of both home and school.

3. Therapy Starts

From our detailed Assessment we build a tailored program that is line with family values and targeted to suit the individual goals of your child.

The therapy team will begin working with your child one on one in your home and/or your pre-school setting on a weekly basis. Early Intervention programs start with a six-month commitment to enable you to see progress.

Our delivery model ensures quality service and consistent implementation of your bespoke ABA program.

Your child’s therapy team will have the right combination of skills and experience. All team members are employees of ABAlink with a commitment to the disability space and the child they are assigned to.

How can I stay informed on my child’s progress?

We recognise the importance of ongoing communication with you.

You play a very important role in your child’s journey and so your team  meet with you every 4 weeks ( Clinic Meetings) as part of our service delivery model to ensure that we are working together to achieve the stated goals.

Parent Coaching

If you are a Parent of a child with autism you may need coaching in adaptive parenting techniques to support your child’s skills development when your Therapists are not there. Your Program Supervisor can answer questions in your Clinic meeting and can discuss options available to you .

Can I use my NDIS funding to pay for Therapy?

You can use the money in your NDIS plan to help cover the cost of Early Childhood Supports. We will discuss this with you when you make an enquiry.
